He is married and father to two daughters while his personal interests include reading, puzzles, listening to music and mountain walking.
George Aggelinos is a Naval Officer with the rank of Lt. Commander. He graduated the Naval Academy (1989) specialized in Communication Electronics - a field that he has experience for over than 10 years. His activities in IT (Networks) started in 1991 with Integrated Communications Systems in Germany and in the U.K. as a member of the delivery crew for the systems installed in the Hellenic Navy frigates. In 2003, he obtained his Master Degree in e-Business from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds a Ph.D. in "Disaster recovery of Health Information Systems" from the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, under the supervision of Professor Sokratis Katsikas.

significant of these covering: LAN design in the Hellenic Navy Frigates, Requirements analysis for different issues relating to the Naval Officers career monitoring system or relating to Ethnokarta S.A. for its intranet development, the writing of the Disaster Recovery Plan of the system «HERMES» of the Ministry of Interior and - most recently - a survey in the Greek National Hospitals, related with the Information Systems Security and the preparation about their Disaster Recovery.
His academic research include the Security Management of an Information System from its early decision of design up to the confrontation of an IT disaster and the compliance with the international standards.
