Eleni Darra was born in Athens, Greece. She received the degree in Department of Technology Education and Digital Systems from the University of Piraeus, Greece, in 2005, and the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Network Oriented Systems from the University of Piraeus, Greece, in 2008. Currently, she is a PhD researcher in the Department of Digital Systems under the supervision of Professor Sokratis Katsikas in "intrusion detection in wireless sensor network". During 2005-2006 she worked as Instructional Designer, Tester in Web Sites and IT Support in Exodus Company, Ampelokipoi, Athens, Greece. From February 2008 until today works as a professor of Computer Science at the secondary and postsecondary education. She has been actively involved in local organizing committee of international scientific conferences co-organized by the research group of systems security information and communication of the University of Piraeus. Moreover, she, currently, participates as a researcher in two research projects (Bioidentity and PeerAssist) conducted by the same group.
